Asian Australian Lawyers Association is is pleased to announce its first jointly hosted event with the Women Lawyers Association of NSW.

In this session on “Where the Glass and Bamboo Ceilings Meet in the Australian Legal Professionguest speaker and expert on unconscious bias, Heather Price of Symmetra will address the concept of intersectional diversity and will outline ways in which both individuals and management within the legal profession can tackle unconscious bias in relation to both gender and race.

Heather established one of the first and most successful diversity consultancies in South Africa during the dismantling of apartheid. She established Symmetra (www.symmetra.com.au) in Australia in 2003 which, under her leadership, has become recognised as a global premier provider in Diversity and Inclusion.  Over the past 20 years, Heather Price has cemented her reputation both locally and internationally as an energising and highly respected thought leader in this fast-growing industry.  She is a regular presenter at international conferences and to executive leadership teams around the world, the author of numerous publications and has been repeatedly nominated onto the expert panel ratifying the Global Diversity and Inclusion Benchmark Tool.  Heather has been engaged by many top tier law firms to consult on diversity strategy and address unconscious bias.
