The President and Committee of the Queensland branch of the Asian Australian Lawyers Association Inc. (AALA) are delighted to invite you to our inaugural panel discussion on judicial diversity in Australia.

Diversity is an essential component of a fair and impartial judiciary. Bringing diverse experiences and perspectives to bear allows judicial officers to make better informed decisions and increases public confidence in our judicial system, and the rule of law.

The AALA is committed to promoting cultural and linguistic diversity in the legal profession.  This is a rare opportunity to hear from, and engage directly with, leaders of the legal profession about their journey to the bench, and thoughts on diversity in the law.

The AALA is honoured to be joined on the panel by:

to be followed by closing remarks from the Hon. Chief Justice Catherine Holmes, Chief Justice of Queensland.  Drinks and canapés will be served prior to 6.00pm and following the panel discussion.

Registrations are essential as spaces are strictly limited.  Please contact qld@aala.org.au if you have any questions

The AALA gratefully acknowledge the support provided by Corrs Chambers Westgarth in hosting this event.
