Attendees will learn how to protect your client's software inventions with intellectual property. James discusses the challenges and benefits of IP protection and draw on relevant case studies to illustrate which types of protection is suitable for different circumstances. Learn how having the appropriate IP strategy in place can enhance your long term, competitive advantages.


The Presentation will end by 1:45pm and questions will be welcomed at this time.

About James Wan:

James Wan has over two decades experience as a patent attorney qualified in 3 countries. He has helped countless innovative software and IT businesses maximise the value of their intellectual property by securing and commercialising their IP rights. Prior to this, James has also spent 9 years working in Singapore and Hong Kong, and 4 years as a former in-house patent counsel at ResMed, and currently general counsel at a healthcare AI company. James is also a leading commentator and regular presenter on intellectual property and legal issues. His technical areas of expertise are deep learning, blockchain/cryptography and medical devices.
