Personal Profile
Zubin is a barrister specialising in criminal law and quasi-criminal proceedings. He has prosecuted and defended in a broad range of criminal law matters and is experienced in appearing and advising at all stages of the indictable and summary criminal law process. He regularly appears in jury trials in the County Court and Supreme Court of Victoria.
He holds an Indictable Crime Certificate, is a member of the Victoria Legal Aid Criminal Trial Preferred Barrister List, and is designated as a lead counsel in Victoria Legal Aid's Trial Counsel Development Program. He is also a committee member of the Criminal Bar Association of Victoria.
Zubin also advises and represents individuals and organisations in quasi-criminal and regulatory matters including: regulatory investigations, regulatory prosecutions, professional disciplinary matters, inquests and inquiries.
Zubin is a Dr. John Yu Fellow (University of Sydney, 2024). He is currently the co-Chair of the Equality and Diversity Committee of the Victorian Bar. He is also the current Secretary of Liberty Victoria (formerly the Victorian Council of Civil Liberties). He has previously been a co-Chair of the Student Engagement Committee of the Victorian Bar and a member of the Bar's Race, Ethnicity and Cultural Diversity Working Group.
