Join the AALA Victorian Branch and Baker McKenzie to usher in the Year of the Dog! The AALA is proud to hold its Lunar New Year Celebration, in conjunction with Baker McKenzie, on 8 March 2018.

Guest speaker: Cam Truong of Counsel, former Secretary of AALA

Cam Truong is a commercial barrister practicing in all areas of commercial law, with particular expertise in trade practices and consumer protection, competition law, corporations and securities law. His practice also includes insolvency, property law including residential and retail tenancies, defamation, contract law, equity and trusts, administrative law and judicial review.

Cam regularly advises and appears in the Supreme and County Courts in trials and urgent interlocutory applications.

Cam is currently briefed in a number of large commercial Supreme Court proceedings including a complex trusts dispute between members of an Australian-Malaysian family over assets in Australia, a contractual dispute between two major energy companies and a defamation proceeding involving prominent members of the Korean community in Victoria.  Cam is also currently briefed in a significant trade practices dispute concerning Standards Australia in the Federal Court.

Cam is a founding member of the AALA.
