The VIC Branch of the AALA is pleased to host a CPD seminar “Recommended National Standards for Working with Interpreters in Courts and Tribunals” conducted by Bridging Translation, a leading translation agency in Australia.

This CPD seminar will explore how to work with interpreters effectively in client-lawyer meetings and court hearings, when a legal practitioner should seek the assistance of an interpreter in a case, the challenges when using an interpreter and how to equip clients where English is not their first language with performance tips in court.

This will be a great opportunity to discuss with your colleagues and experienced practitioners your thoughts, experiences and concerns in dealing with interpreters and translators.

This event is free for all AALA members.

Please register by Friday 27 March 2020 as there are limited places available.

If you are not yet an AALA member or have yet to renew your membership, please be sure to sign up or renew through our website.
