With the assistance of Baker McKenzie, the NSW Branch of the AALA is pleased to launch its Foreign Qualified Lawyers (FQLs) initiative designed primarily to assist FQLs seeking to practise as a lawyer in Australia, by providing a support network and to develop skills to adapt to Australian workplace environment. The intiative would also benefit other lawyers who have previously come from another country and are seeking to establish themselves here.
AALA is pleased to mark the launch of the FQL initiative with its first event which aims to:
We are delighted to invite Kaley Chu - speaker, people connector and author of 100 Lunches with Strangers to speak with us on her journey from being crippling shy to a confident public speaker who has embarked on a mission to helping others fulfil their potential. Kaley has turned lunch into a life changing experience and will be sharing the lessons distilled from those 100 Lunches with us, providing useful tips on networking and how to overcome mental obstacles that we often impose on ourselves.
This event is hosted with the assistance of Baker McKenzie's Zoom platform, and details will be provided to registrants.
