The Asian Australian Lawyers Association (AALA) Qld Branch and Corrs Chambers Westgarth invite you to join Mr Dominic Nguyen, barrister and President of the AALA Qld Branch, on the evening of Thursday, 6 October 2022 as he sits down with The Honourable Justice Patrick Keane AC to reflect on his Honour’s brilliant legal career, including his thoughts on the importance of inclusiveness and diversity within the legal profession. The discussion will be followed by closing remarks from AALA Qld Branch patron, Deputy Chief Magistrate Anthony Gett.

The Honourable Justice Patrick Keane AC
Justice Patrick Keane AC was the first in his family to study at university. His Honour is a graduate of The University of Queensland and the University of Oxford, where he placed first in the Bachelor of Civil Law (BCL). He was called to the Queensland Bar in 1977 and was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1988. He was the Solicitor-General for Queensland from 1992 to 2005. His Honour has served as a Justice of Appeal in the Queensland Court of Appeal and as Chief Justice of the Federal Court of Australia. In March 2013, he was appointed to the High Court of Australia.
