The Asian Australian Lawyers Association presents:

 National Cultural Diversity Report Launch & Panel Discussion (hybrid online & in-person event)

Join us for a brief presentation by Sharon Deano, the co-author of the National Cultural Diversity Report, which was published in late 2025 and updates the first report published a decade earlier in 2015. The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion. 

This event is proudly sponsored and hosted by Ashurst. AALA also takes the opportunity to thank the Victorian Bar and Gilchrist Connell for sponsoring the 2025 Report. 

Our AALA moderator and senior lawyer Devesh Chauhan will be joined by an esteemed panel: 

  • Sharon Deano, the co-author of the latest National Cultural Diversity Report (2025);
  • Reynah Tang, a key contributor to the first National Cultural Diversity Report (2015);
  • Minal Vohra SC, Barrister, VicBar; and
  • Natsuko Ogawa,Partner and leader of Ashurst's Japan and M&A practice in Australia.

The event will start with a presentation of the latest report by Sharon Deano which will be streamed live and then there will be a panel discussion on that topic. Please note that Chatham House rules apply, so this event is not for recording.

The panel will be followed by networking drinks and refreshments to build meaningful connections in our communities kindly sponsored by Ashurst.
