We are so pleased to have Jackie Jones, Co-Founder/Director of JJR Advisory join us for our mentoring program launch this year. Jackie will share her insights on “Beyond the Law Degree: Building a Career in the Modern Legal Profession”, covering topics such as commercial acumen, communication, adaptability, relationship-building, personal brand, technology/AI, resilience, career ownership and why technical legal ability is increasingly only one part of what makes someone successful.

Jackie Jones | Co-Founder/ Director, JJR Advisory
Jackie Jones is the Co-Founder of JJR Advisory, a specialist executive search, recruitment and advisory firm partnering with law firms, corporates and government organisations across the legal and professional services sectors.
With over eight years of experience in legal recruitment and executive search, Jackie has developed a deep understanding of the legal careers market and what organisations look for when identifying, hiring and developing legal talent. She has worked with lawyers and leadership teams across private practice, in-house and government, supporting appointments from junior and emerging lawyers through to Partners, General Counsel and executive leadership roles.
Alongside her career in legal recruitment, Jackie is currently undertaking a Juris Doctor at Macquarie University, giving her a unique perspective as both an adviser to the legal profession and a law student navigating the pathway herself.
Jackie holds a Bachelor of Business Commerce from the University of Canberra and brings together commercial experience, legal market insight and a genuine interest in career development, business strategy and organisational design. She is particularly passionate about helping emerging lawyers understand the skills, attributes and experiences that contribute to building a successful and sustainable career in the modern legal profession.
